The valleys nearby – Chisone,Germanasca and Pellice, are well known because of the Valdesians and the whole area has always been a turistical site for what concerns history, art and nature. The Villa Glicini Hotel proposes guided tours to all the naturalistic, historical and cultural sites of the region.
It is the biggest fortress of the Alps and a military masterpiece. It was realized in more than a century (from 1727 to 1850). The fortress was built on a 635 m. height difference and divided into three parts - San Carlo, Tre Denti and Valli - linked by a wall 3 km long and a staircase (The Royal Satircase) of 4.000 steps.
This museum is, like the one in Cairo, solely dedicated to the ancient Egypt art and culture. It is made of a set of different collections and enlarged by the excavations accomplished in Egypt by the Italian Archeological Mission between 1900 and 1935.
This magnificent building is, with its 137 rooms and 17 galleries, one of the most emblematic works of the architect Filippo Juvarra. The park that surrounds it is huge:155.289 square metres.
The church has a chapel with a baroque dome: it is the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, where it is preserved the silver reliquary with the presumed Christ’s shroud.
It is an eco-naturalistical tour that brings the turists into the bowls of the mountains near Prali (TO) through the ancient galleries of the talc and black lead mines.
