Fenestrelle Fortress
It is the biggest fortress of the Alps and a military masterpiece. It was realized in more than a century (from 1727 to 1850).
The fortress was built on a 635 m. height difference and divided into three parts - San Carlo, Tre Denti and Valli - linked by a wall 3 km long and a staircase (The Royal Satircase) of 4.000 steps.
